French historian Barbara Lefebvre has made a study of what is taught about Islam to students in French middle and secondary schools. Her analysis reveals a great deal of deception by omission and distortion – in other words a thoroughgoing exercise in whitewashing.
Note what he writes in his introduction:
“…her close analysis may encourage others — in Germany, in Great Britain, in Sweden, in the U.S. – to engage in a similar examination of what young people in the West are now being taught about Islam.”
Wouldn’t that be a great idea? If only our bright young academics could tear themselves away from their Islamophobia Studies.
